After over 10 years of DJing, Chris Scullion has recently adopted the alias of “Casma” and ventured into the world of production. So far he has gained some great support from Jay Lumen, Bushwacka!, Agent!, Leon, Benoit, Anthony Pappa, Brandon Block, Erick Morillo, Jamie Stevens, Gareth Whitehead, Spoony and many more.
Casma’s work has also had some really positive reviews from “This Is Progessive” (UK), “MagazineSixty”(UK), “Pumped Audio” (UK), and “Deep South Audio” (NZ) and he has managed to get a bit of chart action on Beatport, Juno and RA. His first original release, “Stockings and Champagne” was charted in September 2013 on Beatport and RA by Jay Lumen and has received numerous plays by Spoony (Jonathan Joseph) on Ministry of Sound Radio. The Brisboys remix of this track also managed to reach #6 of the” Juno Recommends Minimal/Tech House October 2013 Chart”. Altogether, an encouraging start to Casma’s career as a producer.
His first gig under the new alias was as a supporting act for Jay Lumen’s debut performance in Ireland at The Academy, Dublin in 2014. He has also recently supported Billy Nasty and has since been edging more towards techno in his production. Lots to come from this guy in 2015.
